Dear St. Stephen’s family,
On behalf of Amy, Mary and Ella, I wanted to extend our deepest thanks for the wonderful coffee hour held yesterday to officially welcome us to the church. I know it was a special time for everyone simply in begin able to gather for fellowship, but I derived particular added joy from hearing the conversation and laughter and seeing the many smiles. (For those who weren’t able to attend we’ve posted several photos on the church Facebook page at https://tinyurl.com/

As most of you are aware I’m traveling to Alabama on Wednesday morning to officiate at a wedding in Mobile later in the week. In my absence, I’m delighted that The Rev. Dr. Nina Salmon will be back to preach and celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday (and for those who weren’t able to join us on Sunday, we once again have both the bread and the wine!). Additionally The Rev. Gail Goldsmith, rector of Trinity Church – Boonsboro, has graciously agreed to be available for any pastoral emergencies that may arise. If needed Gail+ can be reached at (804) 339-9038.
Thank you again for your many kindnesses and prayers, and I look forward to seeing you when I return from Alabama.
