The Altar Guild

The Altar Guild of Saint Stephen's is a ministry that provides essential behind-the-scenes support for our active worship.  Preparing the sanctuary and church for worship is a rewarding service, and many have found it to be a meaningful part of their spiritual journey.  This ministry takes one into the heart of a particular sacred space where prayer has been offered over almost two centuries. 

Betty Ritter is the directress of the Saint Stephen's Altar Guild.

Almighty God, grant we pray you, that we may handle holy things with reverence, and perform our work with such faithfulness and devotion that the prayerful labor of our hearts and hands may rise with acceptance before you and obtain your blessing; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
