UTO In-Gathering was June 4th
It’s past time to convert those United Thank Offering coin-box collections you’ve been saving into UTO envelopes (available at the back of the nave). The in-gathering was June 4 (Pentecost), but you can still turn yours in. The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. UTO distributes the monies we collect to support mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.
New Organ Dedication Celebration
Join us on Sunday, June 11 at 3:00pm for a musical celebration of our new organ, as we are joined by friends from the choirs of St. Andrew Presbyterian, Rivermont Presbyterian, Holy Cross Catholic & St. Thomas Episcopal churches. A reception will follow, in our parish hall.
Reception Food Needed – Please use the sign-up sheet on the parish hall bulletin board, to help provide finger foods for the reception following the June 11 organ celebration concert. Both savory & sweet food are needed. Items may be delivered to the Parish Hall on Sunday, June 11--for more info call Laurie Giudice (434-665-3678).
Coffee Hour Hosts Needed
A sign-up sheet for weekly Coffee Hour is posted on the parish hall bulletin board, and provision may be as modest or elaborate as you wish to make it. If you have questions about finding your way around the parish kitchen, contact Linda Thomas, 540.586.0285.
St. Stephen’s will host the Red Cross for a Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 28 from 1:00pm – 6:30pm in our parish hall. Please call 1-800-733-2767 to schedule an appointment.
Mercy Presbyterian Opportunities
The children of St. Stephen’s are invited to join Mercy Presbyterian for Vacation Bible School here (at St. Stephen’s) on June 19-22, 2017 from 8am-12pm. See Linda Thomas for more information.
This season, we celebrate graduates among our parish family. We offer special prayers as they cross this important milestone, give thanks, celebrate, and ask God’s blessing on their lives. If you have a graduate in your family and would like to share the good news with the parish, email the church office.
Congratulations Madeline, Penelope, Elizabeth, and all other graduates this season!
May 27 was the date of the marriage of Grace Chesley Vohden to Ethan Randall Snead at St. Paul's -- Chesley and Ray were proud parents! We celebrate and give thanks with them, for this special event in their family, and ask God’s blessing on the happy couple as they begin their lives together.
