Morning Prayer May 21, One Service Only
We will gather for Morning Prayer on Sunday, May 21st, when Fr. Brad is away. There will only be one (combined) service, at 10:30am.
This season, we celebrate graduates among our parish family. We offer special prayers as they cross this important milestone, give thanks, celebrate, and ask God’s blessing on their lives. If you have a graduate in your family and would like to share the good news, email the parish office.
Opportunities to Join With Mercy Presbyterian
The children of St. Stephen’s are invited to join Mercy Presbyterian for Vacation Bible School here (at St. Stephen’s) on June 19-22, 2017 from 8am-12pm. The men of St. Stephen’s are invited to join MPC for “Men’s Breakfast” meeting here in our parish hall on May 20, from 8-10am. See Linda Thomas for more information about either opportunity.
United Thank Offering Boxes
In May, we continue our daily habit of thankfulness and generosity, filling our UTO coin-boxes (more available at the back of the nave). Our goal as a parish is to have UTO in-gathering of these collections on June 4 (Pentecost). The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. UTO distributes the monies we collect to support mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion. Learn more on-line at http://www.episcopalchurch.org/page/united-thank-offering, or take one of the booklets / flyers near the church entrance today.
Coffee Hour Hosts Needed
A sign-up sheet for weekly Coffee Hour is posted on the parish hall bulletin board, and provision may be as modest or elaborate as you wish to make it. If you have questions about finding your way around the parish kitchen, contact Linda Thomas, 540.586.0285.
